House of Hops is a family-owned craft beer shop that opened in July 2014. Keith and Ronna Bowler opened House of Hops trusting that the local community would support a business that emphasized connecting with its customers and making everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Since 2014 our customers and staff have carried on this tradition as evidenced by the multiple Best Beer Shop awards and the unique environment that makes everyone feel like a part of the family.
In 2018 two locations were added including McNeil Pt and Pittsboro. Keith and Ronna feel incredibly blessed that the community and loyal customers supported all three of our shops during the pandemic. This support has allowed us to continue to provide great beer, family motivated events and community connection. We look forward to greeting you at one of our three locations.

The staff is awesome. They know what to show you if you’re looking for a specific style of beer. Very helpful. I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been there, and don’t like Bud Light or whatever than this is the place to be. The only thing I don’t like is the charge they add if you drink your beer there. Loyal customers go there. They should use a punch card system or something so you’re not paying extra just to hang out. That’s my only complaint. And again - the staff is excellent at their jobs and very friendly. They even remember their customers names. Too bad other businesses don’t do the same.

Great spot for a great beer. Friendly staff, always a good food truck and they keep the taps filled with good local brews and brews from all over. Make sure to check out the back patio for fresh air while you sip.
